Nine Rose K workshops prove a great success

Dr. Paul Rose, designer of the Rose K family of lens designs visited India for a second time in October. Dr. Rose gave a presentation about how to use his lens designs to eager audiences of ophthalmologsts and optometrists across the country and in Sri Lanka. The presentations were followed by live workshops where four patients, all with irrgeguar cornea were fitted using the Rose K range of lenses.

The presentations took place at PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS in Delhi, LVP Eye Institute Bhubaneswar, KPC College Kolkata, Jaslok Hospital Mumbai, Laxmi Eye Institute Panvel, Shroff Eye Hospital Mumbai and the Sri Lanka Foundation in Colombo. DTCL helped organise the two week tour with the help of their consultant Ms. Jyoti Dave and their team of Rose K co-educators.

DTCL Sales & Marketing Director, Graham Avery, said 'the events were enthusiastically received by all who attended and that they had continued to raise awareness of the Rose K brand in India. The trip also allowed us to meet with three new distributors which now gives us extensive coverage of the Rose K products in all regions of India. We now have four distributors acting for us and coupled with our team of five co-educators to provide training in fitting Rose K lenses, we are now well placed to increase our sales into India.'
