The unique S-Form aspheric posterior curve creates,
from center to periphery, a multifocal effect. This will provide

In primary
gaze, the central portion of the lens provides distance
correction. When reading, convergence and a slight upward transition
of the lens favors utilization of convex powers toward the periphery
of the lens. An upper lid attachment optimizes this transition
of the lens from distance optics (center), to optics needed
for comfortable intermediate and near vision (periphery).
