We believe that Comfort O2, the worlds first rigid gas permeable silicone hyrdrogel offers a truly quantum leap forward in lens technology combining the comfort associated with a soft lens with the superior vision found in an RGP lens.
Comfort O2 material which has FDA approval is a silicone hydrogel polymer that has been formulated to hydrate on the surface like a soft silicone hydrogel lens while remaining rigid in the interior of the lens. Comfort O2 combines the wettability and comfort of a soft silicone-hydrogel lens with the permeability and durability of an RGP lens.
Other materials from the same manufacturer include Comfort DR, a material particularly good for patients with deposit problems and Comfort HO a high DK material offering good comfort because of a novel combination of wetting agents.
