Congratulations for World Champion
Last month we reported that DTCL was sponsoring Chloe Goudie, the daughter of our Laboratory Manager Chris, in the IWWF Cable Wakeboard World Championships 2010.
We are delighted to report that Chloe Goudie has returned as part of the GB squad and is now the new Cable Wakeboard World Champion for Girls. Chloe who is from Milton Keynes fought off fierce competition from her closest rivals from Germany and Australia and confirm her position as world ranked number one for her age group. The International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation Championships were held in Neubrandenberg, Germany. Chloe had to progress from the group stages through to the semi-finals and then the final.
It was a double success for Chloe who won the individual gold medal, but she was also part of the successful GB squad that won the overall team championship as well, narrowly beating the hosts Germany into second place. During a summer where as a country we have not had much to cheer about, we would like to congratulate Chloe for being part of a winning national team and of course her own individaul success as newly crowned world champion. Chloe's win will attract further sponsorship from the sports equipment and clothing companies and put her in good stead to challenge for the womens events in the near future.
